Hard panning is a coating process on a determined center which is produced due to a sugar syrup crystallization by evaporation. The centers used for elaborating a dragee may be: cereals, chocolate centers, chewing gum, almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, nuts, berries, coffee, soft candy, sugar grains, and as they are hard coated products, they have a crunching layer made of sugar or sugarless polyols.
Each equipment is custom designed, considering a basic structure and adding the different adjuncts required so that the final product can be achieved the best way.
This equipment allows the fabrication of centers of a small size, due to its solid wall.
This equipment uses a drum elaborated with perforated plates, with 4 mm diameter perforations. The particularity of this equipment is that it allows process air to go through the product. By doing this, the drying area is augmented, thus the drying times are shorter.
